Over the past decade, Alex Kacimi has gathered extensive and diverse experience with bands such as The Monkberry Moon Orchestra, The Rebels of Tijuana, Fireball FC, and A*Song. After releasing numerous records and playing countless concerts, he is now taking a break to introduce his first solo album "Cookies & Motoriders".
Recorded with a little help from his friends between Big Balls and Back To Mono Records studios, the album fully embraces musical hedonism. Delightful rimes echo through cinematic beaches and the savage landscapes of the Far West, channeling for all pop lovers the influences of Kevin Ayers, François de Roubaix or Neil Young's Crazy Horse in his sonic Technicolor paintings.
One can indulge in listening to this album, imbued with the enthusiasm of spontaneous songwriting and recorded in very few live takes. As if warped from another era, these ten dreamy tracks reflect simple and truly pleasurable moments. It does feel like a few days spent recording with some friends are the greatest luxury one can afford.
