Quintet formé en 2012, les Cats n’ont depuis, pas cessé d’inlassablement chercher et affiner une identité sonore propre et opaque, dont l’origine est souvent due aux divergences internes. Jamais fixée sur un seul système stellaire, leur musique oscille entre les froideurs germaniques du Krautrock, les rêveries de la Super-Sunshine-Prog-Pop et les grooves les plus ésotériques de Fela Kuti, tout en défiant constamment toute catégorisation.
Après un EP homemade en 2014 et deux 45 tours sortis sur le label anglais Fruits De Mer Records, les Cats débarquèrent un beau matin de novembre 2015 à Kerwax pour coucher sur bande leur premier album, sobrement intitulé « Massage », véritable ode à la bizarrerie, qui sortira début 2017 avec Le Pop Club Records.

Formed in 2012, the quintet has been restlessly seeking and shaping an unique and opaque sound, whose origins are often due to internal disagreements. Instead of gravitating around one stellar system, their music freely wanders form the cold depths of German Krautrock to a breezy kind of Super-Sunshine-Prog-Pop without forgetting to pay tribute to esoteric Fela Kuti influenced grooves. The band strongly rejects any kind of categorization.
After a self released EP in 2014 and two 7 inch vinyls on english record company Fruits De Mer, the Cats went to Kerwax Studios in November 2015 and put on tape their first full length record. Titled "Massage", the album is a genuine ode to weirdness due early 2017 with Le Pop Club Records.
