Trumpets of Consciousness est né à Lyon en 2015 autour de Thibauld Labey. Avec ce premier album éponyme, c'est une certaine idée de la pop 5 étoiles que le groupe défend avec brio, bercé par les influences de Brian Wilson, The Band, Big Star ou les Beatles. Entre psychédélisme select, mélodies sixties frissonnantes et poésies folk de haut vol, ce premier album est un voyage millésimé dans la pop des grands. Un voyage coloré qui, à l'image de la peinture de David Sala pour la pochette, nous emmène dans une lecture hédoniste de l'art pop. Enregistré entre les studios Mikrokosm et Cartellier, mixé par Thibauld Labey lui-même et masterisé par le Back To Mono Records Studio.

Trumpets of Consciousness is a French pop band founded by Thibauld Labey in 2015 in Lyon. Their eponymous first album brilliantly upholds a certain idea of that 5-star pop imagined by the likes of Brian Wilson, The Band, Big Star or The Beatles. In-between elegant psychedelism, quivering sixties-like melodies and high-end folk poetry their first album is a vintage journey through the pop landscapes of the greats. A colorful trip exquisitely illustrated by the art-work of David Sala, and hedonistic vision of the art of pop-music. Recorded at Mikrokosm and Cartelier Studios, mixed by Thibauld Labey himself, and mastered by Back To Mono Records studio.
